- Abstract
The article presents the case study of a 39-year-old HIV-positive Chinese man with gastrointestinal Penicillium marneffei infection who had history of gonorrhea ten years back and presented with chronic diarrhea and weight loss of 4.5 kg in two months. He was admitted to the hospital because of persistent fever and a sore throat for one week. The patient was given parenteral amphotericin B at 0.6 mg/kg for two weeks followed by itraconazole.
