- Abstract
The article presents information on multiple lipomas, angiolipomas and parathyroid adenomas in a patient with Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome. The Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome is transmitted in an autosomal dominant fashion and consists of a triad of fibrofolliculomas, trichodiscomas and acrochordons. The syndrome is characterized clinically by numerous asymptomatic flesh-colored, dome-shaped papules situated primarily on the head, neck, and upper part of the trunck, Histologically, these papules can be either fibrofolliculomas or trichodiscomas, a distinction that cannot be foretold by clinical appearance.
