Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 68-year-old male presented with haematemesis to the ED of a regional hospital via ambulance. Topics include the patient has intubated prior to gaining access to the right femoral artery using a 7-Fr introducer arterial sheath; and the traditional technique to stem uncontrollable below-diaphragm bleeding has been resuscitative thoracotomy.
