- Abstract
The article discusses a study which showed that the phylogenetic methods that utilize the relative order of divergence among a set of DNA sequences as a criterion for inferring phylogenies are consistent statistically even when DNA sequences are generated from gene trees simulated from species trees in the anomaly zone. It assesses the performance of a variety of tree construction methods when analyzing concatenated sequences generated from taxon species tree in the anomaly zone using simulation. Details of the theoretical results are provided.
