Role of Cellular Activation and Tumor Necrosis Factor-&aalpha; in the Early Expression of Mycobacterium tuberculosis 85B mRNA in Human Alveolar Macrophages.
- Abstract
The article discusses several aspects of the role of cellular activation, and tumor necrosis factor–a in the early expression of mycobacterium tuberculosis 85B mRNA in human alveolar macrophages. Topics discussed include mycobacterial proteins, monocytes, macrophages, and reactive oxygen intermediates. In addition, reference is made to phagocytosis of microbes and bacterial components, such as lipopolysaccharide, and inducible nitric oxide synthase.
