Title

Bacterial genetics: Defeating the drawbacks of CRISPR.

Authors

Kåhrström, Christina Tobin

Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the drawback of clustered, regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR-Cas) associated protein immunity. The staphylococcal pG0400 plasmid was transferred to mupirocinsensitive Staphylococcus epidermidis in the study to investigate how bacteria cope with the drawback of CRISPR immunity. Results of the study reveal that CRISPR immunity's plasmids evasion is caused by host mutations.
