Abstract

The article discusses research being done on host response. It references the article " Phenoloxidase activity acts as a mosquito innate immune response against infection with Semliki Forest virus," by J. Rodriguez-Andres. Results show that phenoloxidase (PO) cascade and melanization as important components of vector's response of moquito to infection with Semliki Forest virus (SFV).
