Abstract
The article highlights a study which compares several species of Fusarium genomes, which include Fisarium verticillioides, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Lycopersici and Fusarium graminearum. Researchers found that the genome of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Lycopersici is larger than that of the other two species and contains many strain-specific genes. They also examined that each of them have different number of chromosomes.
