Abstract

The article focuses on the studies conducted by Doctor Marc Strous and colleagues that affirm the significance of anaerobic oxidation of ammonium and methane undergone by uncultured microorganisms. Results show that these processes are major contributors to the global biogeochemical cycles. Such fact emphasizes the environmental importance of these microorganisms.
