- Abstract
The article discusses the study which describes the important role of interleukin 10 (IL-10) in maintaining transcription factor Foxp3 expression during inflammatory responses in the intestine. It was observed that the link of IL-10 to Treg cell-mediated suppression showed that T cells require IL-10 to maintain expression of Foxp3 and their suppressive function in inflamed intestine. It states that maintaining Foxp3 in both human and murine system is necessary for T cell functions.
