Title
Stop the killing of beneficial bacteria.
Authors
Blaser, Martin
Abstract
The author presents his thoughts on increasing the study of beneficial bacteria as vulnerability to pathogens increases. He cites studies that suggest antibiotics cause changes to microbial composition that can cause long-term physiological changes, suggesting that reductions in the administration of antibiotics during pregnancy and childhood should be considered.
