- Title
Green-wave phenology.
- Authors
Schwartz, Mark D.
- Abstract
In this article the author discusses green-wave phenology, which is the integration of conventional and satellite-derived measures used to study the mid-latitude spring onset of photosynthesis. Topics include how a surface-based green-wave model can extend the monitoring of climatic variability back to 1900 and provide a longer-term context for data obtained from satellites, the limitations of remote-sensing data, and the benefits of models that simulate phenology using meteorological data.
