Abstract

The author reflects on the articles by M. Bilbul and H. Schipper and H. Schipper and collegues regarding the approach to risk assessment and mitigation of chronic diseases through primary prevention. He mentions the authors' regard on the factors predisposing to Alzheimer's disease in five domains including genetic, metabolic, and cognitive. An overview for Alzheimer's disease prevention, highlighting the Alzheimer Risk Assessment Clinic (ARAC) implementation in Montreal, Quebec, is offered.
