Abstract

This document is a letter to the editor in response to a previous article about the detection of microplastics in patients with allergic rhinitis. The authors explain that they took a blind sample using a syringe of saline physiology, which was stored in polypropylene packages and examined for microplastics. No microplastic particles were found on the blind sample, indicating that work-related contamination was ruled out. The authors believe that any possible contamination was minimized by using washed materials and that there were no microplastics in the blinded samples.
