Title
Effects of DHEA administration on episodic memory, cortisol and mood in healthy young men: a double-blind, placebo-controlled study.
Abstract
The article discusses a study on the effects of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) on episodic memory in young men. It was found that cortisol levels decreased in those who were given DHEA, and visual analogue scales (VAS) of memory and subjective mood showed improvement. This was the first study to find a positive relationship between DHEA and improvements in cognition.
