- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated the benefits of aerobic training alone, resistance training alone, and a combination of both on hemoglobin A1c levels in type 2 diabetes patients. The randomized controlled trial involved 262 sedentary men and women in Louisiana who were enrolled in an exercise program between April 2007 and August 2009. An improvement in hemoglobin A1c levels was observed among subjects who were under a combination of aerobic and resistance training.
