Abstract

In 2021, I took up a post as a trainee advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) in primary and urgent care with the Scottish Ambulance Service. My nursing background is in cardiac and intensive care and I have a master’s degree in advancing practice. I have always been interested in pre-hospital care, so when I saw the post advertised – a band 7 role under Scotland’s Agenda for Change – I applied and was successful.
