- Abstract
Introduction: As per the report of ministry of home affair by government of India 1 accident occurs in every 2 minutes with the accident rate corresponding to 45 per 100000 population. This study aims to analyse the medicolegal aspects of 128 cases of facial injuries, shedding light on the diverse patterns and associated legal implications. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 128 cases reported in our hospital, examining demographic details, injury characteristics, and medicolegal considerations. Results: The findings revealed a spectrum of facial injuries caused by various mechanisms, including accidents and assaults. Demographic patterns underscored the vulnerability of certain populations and seasonal variation in incidence. Medicolegal scrutiny highlighted legal intricacies, contributing to a nuanced understanding of these cases. Conclusion: This research provides valuable insights into the multifaceted nature of facial injuries, offering a foundation for targeted interventions and legal frameworks. Understanding the demographic profile and medicolegal dimensions is essential for comprehensive management and prevention strategies.
