The study aims to investigate the alignment of sustainable development objectives in the scope of strategic projects of state courts in Brazil. Information was collected from 521 projects and then a score was assigned to each project according to the 17 SDGs of the 2030 Agenda. Data collection was carried out by consulting official pages of state courts and data analysis was performed according to the technique of document analysis of project portfolios. The research findings showed that courts of justice in states such as Acre, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraíba and Paraná have had a greater alignment of strategic projects with the SDGs. In practice, this means that the designs of these courts tend to be more closely related to the SDGs. In contrast, courts in the states of Alagoas and Goiás, strategic projects tend not to address environmental and social issues.
