With the world population growth, a new energy demand is required for the total supply of electric energy. The objective of this work is to propose an experimental bench with adaptations in a commercial generator set allowing the use of residual gases in internal combustion engines. The results showed a final cost of US$1,548.88 for the proposed experimental bank. With the implementation of this experimental bank, it will be possible to evaluate the operation of the system with different gaseous fuels. In addition, students of the UFVJM institution will be able to make use of this bank in their academic activities. With the knowledge of the students, training and guidance of professionals in the region can be carried out in the use of internal combustion engines operating with residual gases.
