Abstract

The article explores the relationship between paddy cultivation and methane emission rates in Haryana, emphasizing the significant impact of methane on climate change. The study uses satellite data and GIS techniques to analyze rice crop distribution and methane mixing ratios in the region. The findings highlight the positive correlation between rice cultivation and methane emissions, underscoring the role of flooded rice paddies in contributing to methane levels in the atmosphere. The research provides valuable insights into methane emission dynamics in rice cultivation, shedding light on the environmental implications of agricultural practices in Haryana.
