Introduction and Objectivs: This research was conducted to examine the relationship between the social support of parents of children with autism spectrum disorders and the burden of caregiving. Material and Methods: in the research conducted with 150 parents who agreed to participate in the study, the individual diagnosis form, multidimensional perceived social support scale and caregiving burden scale were applied. this forms have been delivered to families online with use google forms. Results: The mean score of the parents with a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disease from the ‘Multi Dimensional Perceived Social Support Scale’ was determined as 4.45 ± 1.55. The mean score of the parents with a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disease from the ‘Care Burden Scale’ was determined as 2.48 ± 0.79. As a result of the pearson correlation analysis, it was determined that there was a significant and negative relationship between perceived social support and care burden (r=-0,587, p< 0.01). Considering the sociodemographic characteristics, while significant relationships were found in some findings, no statistical relationship was found in some findings. Conclusion: As a result of the pearson correlation analysis, it was determined that there was a significant and negative relationship between perceived social support and care burden. When this result was examined, it was understood that the perceived burden of care of the individuals decreased with the increase in the social support of parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disease.
