Abstract: The research is dedicated to analyzing the life and professional history of journalists from São Félix do Xingu, Canaã dos Carajás and its surroundings, in the southeast region of Pará, through the use of interviews and oral history. The investigation aims to analyze the journalistic work of professionals, from the categories: journalistic structure; professional organization of the company and/or institution of the third sector; profile of the work of journalists; journalistic production -type, format and genres; audience and periodicity; local salience and thematization of information.
