Abstract

The article provides information on a study which examined the microbial transformation of dihydroxyphenylacetic acid by the marine-derived bacterium Stappia sp. Topics discussed include microbial transformation under the condition of halide-enriched culture medium, thin-layer chromatography (TLC) analysis, and analysis of methyl 2-(5,6-dibromo-3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)acetate.
