- Abstract
China, with its planned economy (JABBOUR e GABRIELLE, 2021), has been growing economically and incrementing participation in trade relations of different countries in the world, especially in recent years. After 2003, China's geoeconomic relations with Brazil underwent significant growth, both in terms of exportations and importations. In this context, different regions of the interior of Brazil fallowed this perspective and recently started to have China as their main international trade partner. In the case of the West mesoregion of Santa Catarina, studied preliminarily in terms of its geoeconomic relationship with China in this article, can see the confirmation that China is the main trading partner in the region. In this sense, the objective this article is understand the evolution of the geoeconomic relations of the West region of Santa Catarina with China from the analysis of the growth of commercial relations between the region and the country. Methodologically, the article was written since: 1) bibliographic survey; 2) data collection and; 3) organization, treatment and analysis of data in crossing with the raised bibliography. The principally results there is: there was a strengthening of Brazil-China trade relations from regions in the interior of Brazil, such as the West of Santa Catarina; West of Santa Catarina exports to China are less technologically sophisticated than imports; there is a vast possibility of growth and technological maturation in the West of Santa Catarina to improve technologically the export agenda.
