Abstract

The article titled "Painful pilonidal lesion in the sacrococcygeal region" describes the case of a 23-year-old patient with a history of septoplasty due to previous trauma at the gym. The patient goes to the doctor complaining of pain in the upper area of the intergluteal region, accompanied by bloody stains on their underwear. After a physical examination and preoperative study, it is decided to perform a scheduled surgery to treat a pilonidal lesion. The article provides information about the incidence, diagnosis, treatment, and possible complications of this disease.
