Abstract

A case study of a teenage boy with a one month history of patchy hair loss is presented. Medical examination revealed multiple well-defined areas of cicatricial and noncicatricial alopecia in the parieto-occipital region of the scalp. A biopsy revealed decreased number of hair follicles and other findings were consistent with pressure alopecia.
