Title

'Swiss cheese' appearance of dilated follicular infundibula in trichotillomania.

Authors

Joshi, Rajiv

Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 32-year-old woman diagnosed with trichotillomania. Noted is the presence of dilated follicular infundibula to patients, which is considered a significant criterion in alopecia areata's histopathological diagnosis. It points out that the finding may not be certain for alopecia with speculation that repeated skin rubbing may serve as a potential mechanism for follicular dilatation.
