- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 25-year-old gay man with HIV, major depression, methamphetamine use, and unsafe sex practices. The attempted suicide twice and attended two prior courses of outpatient psychotherapy. The treatment team initially focused on stabilizing his mood and help him create a safe environment. Information is also presented on the patient's phased, multidisciplinary treatment trajectory.
