- Abstract
Introduction: In the context of accelerating technological and digital advancement, artificial intelligence has emerged as a key enabler of integrated healthcare within the field of health sciences. Through the adoption of machine learning, it is moving towards more efficient outcomes and improved healthcare experiences for patients. This development not only aims to optimise clinical and administrative processes, but also promises to drive early disease detection, personalise treatments and revolutionise healthcare delivery, ultimately significantly improving patients' quality of life. Materials and methods: A scoping review of the literature was carried out, conducting a systematic search of databases including Pubmed, LILAC, BVS, including articles where the participation of artificial intelligence as learning models in health science students is evidenced. Results: The search of the three databases found 186 studies, Pubmed [171], LILAC [11] and BVS [4]. 10 articles that met the eligibility criteria were included. Conclusions: Artificial intelligence is transforming the healthcare landscape, offering new opportunities to improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficiency and quality of care. However, it is important to address the challenges and concerns associated with its application to ensure its effectiveness and benefits in healthcare.
