Abstract: The article titled "Chitosan-Based Microparticles Enhance Ellagic Acid's Colon Targeting and Proapoptotic Activity" has been retracted by the journal Pharmaceutics. Concerns were raised about the overlap of images in the article, and an investigation confirmed the overlap of figures with a previously published article. The authors were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the overlap and did not meet the required quality standards for raw images. As a result, the Editorial Board and Editor-in-Chief decided to retract the paper. The authors did not agree with this retraction.
