The article discusses the challenges and opportunities faced by maritime transport in the post-epidemic era, specifically in the context of engineering. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the vulnerabilities and inefficiencies of traditional maritime operations, such as port congestion and supply chain disruptions. However, it has also presented opportunities for technological innovation and strategic adjustments. The article includes three research papers that explore topics such as fixed-time leader-follower formation control of multiple underwater vehicles, the response of ports to disruptions, and dynamic yard space allocation in terminal operations. These papers demonstrate the resilience and potential for growth in the maritime transport industry.
