Abstract

This article, titled "Editorial: Rhizosphere interactions on soil carbon cycle under stress environments," discusses the importance of understanding the role of root-soil-microbe interactions in the soil carbon cycle, particularly in extreme climate events. The article highlights the need for research on the impact of rhizosphere processes on soil carbon balance and the limited understanding of these processes. It emphasizes the significance of studying rhizosphere processes in order to accurately predict and control global warming. The article suggests that more attention should be paid to the rhizosphere effect in future studies and calls for interdisciplinary research to address the challenges associated with the rhizosphere carbon cycle in stressful environments.
