- Abstract
The article "What we should know about pediatric heart failure: children are not small adults" emphasizes the importance of recognizing the unique characteristics of pediatric heart failure (PHF) compared to adult heart failure. PHF has high morbidity and mortality rates, with distinct underlying causes that require tailored therapeutic approaches. While treatments for adult heart failure are often applied to PHF, there is a need for child-specific data to develop more effective treatments. The article highlights the challenges in diagnosing and treating PHF, emphasizing the importance of conducting research to understand the unique pathophysiology of PHF and create tailored treatments for pediatric patients.
