The public health system in Lesotho continues to face considerable challenges in providing quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare. E-health technologies are proving to be a game-changing force in health provision in Lesotho. Nonetheless, there are some barriers to adopting and operationalising e-health technologies in Lesotho's public health sector. In the light of this, this study explored the prospects and challenges underpinning e-health adoption and implementation in Lesotho. The paper, being qualitative, relied on the extensive review of purposively selected literature from journal articles, books, newspapers, and government publications. The collected data were analysed, using the thematic analysis technique. The paper established that, when properly implemented, e-health can improve health care delivery, data collection, health education, and promotion and enhance the overall effectiveness and efficacy of Lesotho's public health sector. The paper proffered some recommendations to strengthen the adoption of e-health in Lesotho.
