İKLİM DEĞİŞİKLİĞİ İLE MÜCADELEDE KARBON PİYASALARININ ROLÜ.

In recent periods, environmental problems such as global warming and climate change that have been faced on a global scale are seen as inevitable problems to take measures for the whole world. In order to tackle with these problems important applications such as United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and Kyoto Protocol have begun to address in the international area. In this way, it has aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and a global carbon market has emerged for this purpose. Through these markets, countries and firms can develop project aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sell these certificates which have obtained from projects in these markets. In this study; greenhouse gas emissions which lead to global warming and climate change, greenhouse effect, the measures that taken against these cases in the international area and flexibility mechanisms which are improved struggle with these problems have been evaluated. In addition in this study, current situation of carbon market in Turkey has been analyzed and assessments have made about the Turkey's future in these markets.
