Abstract

This is analytical article devoted to the extraction of noble metals by acyclic analogs of crown ethers (podands) covering the period from 1980 to 2007. Most attention is given to the extraction of noble metals by phosphoryl-containing podands from hydrochloric acid solutions. The efficiency of extraction depends mostly on the number and nature of donor centers in a reagent molecule. It is shown that the use of podands as noble metal extractants does not help to solve the problem of selective separation of noble metals from complex solutions.
