Abstract

This article presents a study on the school as a social system in the U.S. A researcher proposed an outline of a sociology of education included two possible areas of study which are related to organization theory: human relations within the school, and the impact of the school system on the behavior and personalities of persons. In context of the organizational theory, role has added significance because certain of these expectations becomes institutionalized. Educational researchers have shown much interest in the problem of leadership, more specifically on the relation between persons at different levels of authority.
