Meeting of National Board for Education Sciences Looks to Past, Present, and Future.
Abstract
Information about the quarterly meeting of the U.S. National Board for Education Sciences, which ran from May 21, 2008 to May 22, 2008 is presented. Discussed at the meeting was an Institute of Education Sciences (IES) report being prepared for Congress, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and the reauthorization of the IES. The adequacy of regulations proposed by the U.S. Department of Education to correct some of the problems faced by researchers was also discussed.
