In this study, the determination of the emotional semantic values of biology teacher candidates is aimed. The design of the study was in the screening model and the study group consisted of 70 participants, consisting of 1st class 19, 2nd class 13, 3rd class 17, 5th class 21 participants. The data of the study were collected from the scale developed by Osgood, Suci and Tannenbaum and finalized by the researchers. The scale consists of 10 doubleended adjective pairs. The data has been analyzed by the frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and ANOVA test. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was calculated as 0.68. Factor load values of the scale items are between 0.31 and 0.89. As a result of this study, it was determined that the emotional semantic differences of biology teacher candidates towards the laboratory varied according to their class levels. It was seen that the first class teacher candidates were strenuous, the third class teacher candidates were difficult and complex, and the 5th class teacher candidates had complex negative attitudes, but the second class teacher candidates did not have a negative attitude. In addition, it was determined that the semantic differences of the participants towards the laboratory were not significant according to their class levels (p > 0.05). On the other hand, it was found that there was a negative and high correlation between the attitudes of prospective teachers at the 2nd and 3rd class levels (r = -0.73), and there was a very weak and inverse correlation between the attitudes of the prospective teachers at the other class levels.
