Title: Meeting on facilitating the adoption of the new WHO recommendations for HIV, viral hepatitis and STI interventions in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
Abstract: The article highlights a meeting on the adoption of evidence-based guidelines on the management of HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections by the World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Region in December 2023. Topics mentioned include the level of coverage of services among young people in the Middle East and North Africa, the importance of enhancing the standardization of surveillance systems and the need of training of doctors and nurses to support service delivery.
