Abstract: The article discusses the initiatives implemented by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) towards the effective and standardized use of outcome measures (OMs) for clinicians to perform and objective evaluation of their patients' progress. Topics include the Evaluation Database to Guide Effectiveness (EDGE) Task Force, their recommendations related to OMs, and the latest results and recommendations from the Spinal Cord Injury EDGE Task Force (SCITF).
