Abstract: The article presents a reprint of the article " Medical Management of Hyperglycemia in Type 2 Diabetes: A Consensus Algorithm for the Initiation and Adjustment of Therapy," published in the journal "Diabetes Care." It is stated that while the management of hyperglycemia has been the focus in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, therapies directed at dyslipidemia, hypertension, hypercoagulability, obesity, and insulin resistance, have also been a major focus of research and therapy.
