Abstract

The article focuses on a study related to effect of spinal cord stimulation (SCS) treatment in painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy. It states findings of two randomized clinical trials (RCT) inferring benefits of the treatment modality for painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN) and mentions that the study involved 22 patients with PDPN in the lower limbs. It cites analysis of 24-month follow-up period and notes that the results of the RCT indicates sustained effect of SCS on pain.
