Abstract

The article reports on the results of a study that aims to establish the relationship between blood glucose and length of stay (LOS) in nondiabetic patients electively admitted for bone marrow transplantation (BMT). It found higher blood glucose in patients treated with glucocorticoids. It also revealed the association of glucocorticoid use with hyperglycemia in BMT patients.
