The article discusses the role of agricultural technology in social changes of South America. It includes an overview of tools that farmers used to harvest and produce cotton, sugar canes, and tobacco. Cotton and tobacco are the farmers' main source of income and the two least mechanized crops in the nation. Agricultural technology will provide opportunities to prepare people who had left cotton farm and the means to restore the soil and improve the condition of people who stayed on the land. Tractors, mechanical cotton picker, mechanical cane cutters, and other mechanized tools go far towards solving economic and social problems of the South.
