FEEDING THE WORLD.

Authors

Chalquest, R. R.

Abstract

The article discusses the role of U.S. bioscientists in developing the new agricultural technology that has helped in the increase of food production across the world. The need for increased production is due to the huge population growth, which is expected to grow at the rate of 2.5% per year. It is stated that nearly all foodstuffs are finally got from the combined efforts of many different bioscientists. The U.S. has increased wheat production by 10% despite the fact that fewer acres are planted today than 10 years ago and the increased productivity of meat can be found in the growing of broiler chickens in the U.S.
