Abstract: The article "Challenges of Colombian scientific journals" highlights the challenges faced by scientific journals in Colombia, such as the lack of stable funding and limited professionalization in editorial management. The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation has implemented initiatives to strengthen these publications, but continuous support is required. Additionally, the importance of improving international visibility and the quality of publications to compete globally is mentioned.
