Published in 2018, the book comprises 41 articles that explore various aspects of Elam, including its historical development, cultural influences, and legacy within the Achaemenid Empire. The editors highlight the challenges faced in Elamitology, such as the complexity of the Elamite language and the impact of historical events on scholarly interest. The review emphasizes the significance of Elam as a vital and dynamic civilization, despite its marginalization in contemporary scholarship.
