The article discusses the implementation of tele-urology in Iran's Reconstructive Urology Department during the COVID-19 pandemic. Telemedicine has been utilized to triage patients and reduce in-person visits, with successful telephone consultations conducted with 78 patients. Patients who underwent reconstructive urologic treatments typically traveled an average of 373.2 kilometers for medical care, highlighting the potential benefits of telehealth in reducing costs and improving access to care. The study also emphasizes the importance of thorough patient education and prior screening for effective telemedicine consultations.
